This morning closes day 11 of my biphasic sleep experiment. These last few days have started to feel normal. I’m really enjoying the experiment. I’m getting things done, I have time to do fun things like work out, play sports, play video games, read extracurricularly, and write about it all. Sleep? Who needs it.
I slept a total of 6 hours on day 10, I went to sleep a little early after exhausting myself playing basketball for a few hours. Yesterday, though, was 4.5 hours. I absolutely love it. I don’t think I”m going to have any trouble finishing the 30 days of this experiment. It already feels routine, and my friends and family are starting to realize that I’m sticking with it.
I also find that my mind works better on 4.5 hours of sleep than on 9-10 (which I was sleeping before the experiment). I’m more creative, I think faster, and I come up with some pretty cool ideas. I’ve come up with some pretty cool project ideas that, with the help of a few extra hours in the day, I should have no problem tackling.
I find myself able to fall asleep much more quickly than I used to. But I’ve also noticed that around 12:30 – 2 pm I’m extremely tired. I always got tired around that time, but now it’s worse (especially since I’m taking a history course at that time, which is extremely boring).
