While I loved this experiment, and the amount of discipline that it required, I am going to have to press pause for now. I’m in the middle of a religious fast (it’s Ramadan for Muslims), and my lack of disciplined nutrition and the fact that I don’t eat or drink throughout the daylight, I just don’t have the energy to keep up the intensity of work that I usually put into the gym. I’m losing almost a pound a day, and I imagine that it is muscle as well as fat, so I’m going to do my best just to try to maintain. At the end of Ramadan (about 20 more days)...
Things are getting better now. I am eating super lean, cutting all processed carbs, and just feeling better. I’m sleeping better, performing better athletically, and am generally more enthusiastic about everything. I’m really starting to enjoy this.

Meals are as follows:

1 cup oatmeal (100% rolled oats, no sugar or any other ingredients), made with fat free milk, honey, and cinnamin
2 sunny side up or boiled eggs
2-4 strips turkey bacon
Lunch and Dinner:
Grilled chicken breast or grilled lean burger patty (no bun...
So as promised, I ate like crap the entire weekend. It was my buddies wedding, and we had a blast. Now I face the reprocussions. But I’m getting serious. For the next 30 days I plan on eating grilled chicken, grilled beef, or tuna for meat, and veggies and potatoes for sides. For breakfast I will eat eggs, oatmeal, and turkey bacon. It’s time to make some drastic changes, and I think this will work. I will allow myself 1 cheat meal per week, but other than that, this will be my life… Wish me luck.
