Yesterday was day 7 of my Six Pack Abdominals experiment. Overall things went well, though as you can see I didn’t eat nearly what I was supposed to. I’m aiming to eat about 2800 calories, and yesterday I was about 900 calories short… just a little, right? If I keep up this fitness level, I really need to be reaching my caloric intake goal.
I also decided to start supplementing caffeine. I am taking 200 mg first thing in the morning and about 15 minutes before my workout. This will give me a little extra boost of energy, and should slightly increase my metabolic...

I have to admit, I haven’t been keeping up with recording everything I eat as well as I planned. I know I should, but this is more difficult and requires much more time than most of my experiments. I have been eating fairly well though. I’m sure I’m staying around 2800 calories, which is fine considering I’m probably burning more than that daily. I weighed in at 204.9 this morning, which is not bad considering I started at 209.5. That’s about 4.5 lbs change in 6 days. I’m sure I wont be dropping weight this consistently, but it’s an inspiring...

Yesterday was the first day of my six pack abs experiment. As promised I have recorded everything I ate, along with my physical activity.
As you can see, I ate 3,042 calories yesterday, and as the image below shows, I burned 4,779 calories. Not bad for the first day. I’m sure that kind of activity wont keep up, since I don’t play basketball for 2+ hours everyday. I actually played for 3 hours, but considering all of the breaks between games and such, I put 2:15 in the program. My legs are a bit sore, but overall it was a great first day. I feel great, and I’m excited about...

For my next Brain Vault experiment my goal will be to achieve visible six pack abdominals. Anyone who has ever tried to achieve this knows that it is no easy task. Visible abdominals usually require 9-12% bodyfat at the most, so coming down from 18% or so is not going to be easy. But I will journal the experience and keep you informed with everything I do, and if I do achieve visible abs you’ll know exactly what it takes. The time period for this experiment will be 60 days.
My plan is as follows (this will probably change throughout the course of the experiment): I will keep a strict...
